Mariner Way Fire

Saturday August 14th they got the call to 3102 Mariner in Bayridge. The house belongs to Amber and Jennifer. Their roommate Jason was slightly injured trying to save the family pets. The neighbors managed to save 2 dogs, sadly one died of smoke inhalation.
The fire started in the garage, apparently electric in nature. The garage is a loss, the rest of the house sustained heavy damage. It took about 30 minutes to extinguish the fire.
Meanwhile just 2 blocks down from the fire, a mother and mother to be Lisa Mabry went into labor. She was in her car waiting the fire out because the way to her house was blocked. League City EMS responded and within a couple of hours she gave birth to a 4lb 2oz baby boy. She was not expecting the baby until October 15th.
